Hello everyone and happy Autumn! This is my first blog post in quite awhile because I have been sooooo unbelievably busy with prepping for licensure, my full-time job as a psychologist plus all the other crazy things going on in my life!
I am super excited to write my first of a series of blog posts dedicated to one of my style staples: COLLARS. Y'all know I'm a fan of the peter pan collar and collars in general. I am also obsessed with making cute collar pins (which also work as sweater guards!) for the FemmeDeBloom shop!
Since I am a collar buying fiend, I usually have an extensive knowledge of the different collars available on the interwebs and I am always getting asked where I find all my cute collars. So I thought I would take the opportunity to share my collar research with you all and actually do something productive with the hours I spend searching for cute collared tops/dresses online (it can get a bit obsessive). I will be posting a collar connection blog post four times a year for every season. So let's get started!!!
The collars on my radar for this season are Halloween inspired or include the gorgeous Autumn color palette (mustard yellow! burnt orange! olive green! maroon!).
Let's start with Halloween since it's the first Fall holiday. There are some absolutely adorable items out there for Halloween style, which for me starts in September because its MY FAVORITE.
Retrolicious makes the best collared dresses EVER. Perfect size and super comfy + POCKETS. This dress would go perfectly with the bat collar clips in my shop! $89 on the ModCloth website.
This top can be styled for Halloween but also ALL YEAR ROUND because houndstooth works for all the seasons! $19.90 from Forever 21.
