Honeymoon In Europe

Now that I finally posted pics of the wedding I can finally share some of my honeymoon photos with y'all!!! I LOVED planning my honeymoon because it was seriously a dream come true. Paul had never been to Europe and after I went with girlfriends several years back, I always wanted to return with him. It was seriously the best trip I have ever taken in my entire life and I just feel lucky that I got to experience it and that I get to share it with you!

We chose Paris, France and Venice, Italy for our trip because they are both romantic cities and places we have always talked about visiting! I have been to Paris but not Venice so the second leg of the trip was super exciting for me.

So first stop...Paris! We left the day after our wedding, which in hindsight I realize wasn't a great idea haha. We were pretty exhausted but luckily we were able to sleep in because we took a red eye flight so we'd end up in Paris Monday morning. We slept on the plane as much as we could and arrived at our hotel in the early afternoon.

THIS...is our friggin ADORABLE hotel - Hotel Le 123 Sebastopol - Astotel.

It was movie themed and so cute I had to take pics to share with you!

They had a "tea time" every day with coffee and tea and DESSERT. Here commences my journey into a week full of bread, chocolate, cookies, pastries, croissants, and all of the other wonderful carbs that exist in the world. #HEAVEN And how cute is our room?! This little vanity was claimed by me right away haha! I wish I could've fit this chair and mirror in my suitcase to take home. Although even if I could have it probably would have been frowned upon by the hotel owners right? =P

So we got to our hotel and said we were going to take a "little nap" because I booked a tour of the Eiffel Tower at 4:30 p.m. This little nap turned into a very deep sleep that we woke up from around 3:30p.m. WOOPS. So we missed the tour and I felt like a zombie but we headed over to the Eiffel Tower to just see it and hang out before we went to visit my cousin and her family who live in Paris. It was just as beautiful as ever! I also planned my #OOTD around it so I insisted we go even though we were exhausted. If you're wondering...yes I planned every single outfit like 6 months prior to even going on the trip. LOL. I feel bad for myself.

My first Paris #OOTD

Top: Amazon

Shoes: Chase & Chloe

Belt: Pinup Girl Clothing

Sunglasses: Forever 21

Now for Day 2! Our first breakfast in Paris was at this lovely little cafe called Republique of Coffee. Paul had pancakes and eggs and I had avocado toast with pomegranate. OMG AMAZING. Also the iced cappuccino was to die for! Oh I also took a chocolate croissant to go, don't judge.

Next stop, the Palace of Versailles! It was my second time visiting and Paul's first and he loved it! This is one of my favorite places in the world!

A pic of us being cute

#OOTD time! I had been waiting to wear this Paris print dress from Lindy Bop all year! Shoes from Amazon! These sandal wedges were super comfortable btw!

At night we had tickets to see a show at the Moulin Rouge, which has been on my bucket list for YEARS. Of course, I had to wear a red dress for the occasion. I got this on Amazon as well because I have an amazon shopping issue =P

Me in front of the cute piano in the lobby of our hotel!

The only picture I was able to take and this was before we got in the actual theater because photography is banned. But how cute is this?

So beautiful at night. I loved every minute of being there although I have to admit the show wasn't spectacular as I had imagined it would be. I loved the decor and the music and the side acts but the actual Moulin Rouge dancers all looked like model clones of one another who had mediocre dance skills. It felt like they were chosen more for their body type rather than talent. This made me sad but it is what it is and I have no regrets about going to the show!

Day 3 in Paris - DISNEYLAND!!!!!!

My outfit matched this cute little dessert shop on Main Street! So of course, I had to take a pic!

OOTD DEETS:

Shoes: Chase & Chloe

Cardigan: Mak

Had to give you a close up of my macaron ears from Shop House of Mouse on Etsy! Jess is by far one of the most talented ladies I know and I love everything she makes! The pin is from my shop!

Even in Paris I lose to Paul in this dang game.

Why can't you see my face in this pic? WELL.....I was TERRIFIED. LOL I go on Space Mountain all the time at home but I had never been on this one and I read that there was a loop in it and I was so panicky before we went on the ride I almost walked out of line. Yes, I'm a scaredy cat! I didn't look up during most of the ride and now I regret it because it was shorter than our Space Mountain and was really not bad at all.

The Wonderland decor in Disney Paris is LEGIT.

The teacups are SO CUTE IN DISNEY PARIS!

We only went on one ride in the Walt Disney Studios park because we were exhausted....and that ride was TOWER BECAUSE DUH.

It was so fun and I missed it so much! I'm sad though because I thought it was going to be in French and it was in English. At least I got to say "IN TONIGHT'S EPISODE YOU ARE THE STAR" super loud along with the video in the beginning part and annoy everyone in the room muahaha!

So that concludes my pictures of Disney Paris because I didn't take as many as I wanted to but it was a blast! We were just soooo tired and didn't do as much as we could have so I definitely want to visit again!

For our last day in Paris, we had plans to visit the Louvre & Champs-Élysées so we first stopped at the Eiffel Tower once more to have some delicious pastries and coffee! Knowing that I was going to be visit Laduree later in the day, I wore my macaron print dress from Modcloth! How beautiful is the sky behind the tower!?

Paul and I on the Batobus on the Seine River headed to the Louvre!

I took a bunch of pics from the Louvre but the one I love the most is with the Mona Lisa =P We took so many wrong turns trying to find her that it took us an hour but it was worth it haha!

I also took ridiculous snap chats of some of the paintings and got a lot of dirty looks from people. Sorry not sorry.

hahaha don't judge me.

We spent some time shopping and I ended up buying this fancy schmancy cape from Zara and I felt super bougie, hence the caption on this snap chat Paul took of me.

Got an assortment of macarons in this adorable rainbow box that is now sitting in my office as decor!

After that long day we headed back to our hotel and got room service for dinner and went to bed early because we had an early flight to Venice the next day!

The moment we entered Venice I fell in love. It is absolutely one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.

My gondolier inspired #OOTD for our first day in Venice!

Details:

Hat: H&M

Top: Amazon

Pants: Sidecca

Purse: Target

GELATO FOREVER.

Our fun Gondola ride! See my twin in the back?

In the early evening I booked a wine and food tour through Viator for us. It was so much fun! We stopped at all these local spots and had some very interesting food including deep fried mozarella with ham, stuffed olives, sardines on polenta (not my fave eek!) and delicious prosecco! We bought a bottle to take home to drink for our 1st anniversary.

On our second day in Venice, I booked a tour of the Murano and Burano islands.

Such beauty! The island of Murano, which is famous for its history in glass making.

Burano! This island has been on my bucket list for years since I saw a picture of it on pinterest. This island is famous for its colorful fisherman's houses and for lace making.

These are handmade! In the shop a lady was hand sewing and it was so awesome to watch. I ended up buying a cute little detachable lace peter pan collar that I still need to wear.

THE COLORS

As I was planning my OOTD for this day, I came across this skirt in my closet and realized that it was MEANT TO BE that I bought this skirt from ModCloth awhile back. The colors make me so happy!

I love this vibrant blue!

Back in Venice - The Piazza San Marco!

So I am sharing this because PIGEONS ARE MY ENEMY. The entire time we were in Venice they kept flying around every where and I swear one almost swiped me in the head. Paul made fun of me for it incessantly so on our last day I was like screw this, I'm facing my fear...and I DID haha! These pigeons have no fear of anything. I'm proud of myself but I also still hate pigeons, sorry.

Our last afternoon before heading back home!

Such a PERFECT honeymoon! This is the last photo we took on our trip.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and view my photos of the trip. It means a lot to me to be able to share it with others!

Love,

Melanie
